Importing Vehicles into Spain

Our company focuses on obtaining vehicle registration plates quickly. We advise clients on the legal process of importing a foreign vehicle, as required by the DGT (Spanish Directorate General of Traffic). In Spain, this process is called vehicle registration.

We have worked in the automotive industry for over 20 years, are native Spanish speakers, and have a thorough understanding of the Spanish bureaucratic system; however, our multilingual team will be at your service whenever you need it. We speak English, German, Dutch, French, and Spanish.

We have our own mechanical workshop in Almoradí, MD autoZENTRUM , where we can solve any problems, repairs or modifications that your vehicle may need, before passing the ITV Technical Inspection.

The registration process can take between 2 and 8 weeks from start to finish, depending on several factors. If you are a resident of Spain and need to drive your vehicle while the registration is in progress and your 30-day period is ending, you will need to apply to the DGT (Spanish Directorate General of Traffic) for temporary transit registrations. Non-residents can drive a foreign vehicle duly registered in its country of origin for 6 months within a 12-month period without registering it in Spain.
